We have taken steps to protect any wordpress installations of this version which are on our servers. It is highly advised that you upgrade to the latest version of wordpress 2.1.2, especially if you were using 2.1.1. Version 2.1.1 is the only version which is “dangerous” but older versions of software are also best to upgrade just as a general rule of thumb when the developer has released newer stable versions.

Checking all of our IP’s to see if any of them are listed in any spam database is done weekly so we can keep the emails rolling to where they need to go. I was looking on
www.spamhaus.org and just happen to stop at the top networks that send out spam. I was surprised that some of the top companies are listed. Also they list the top known spammers in the world and it looks like Russia has the trophy for this. Take a look at it as it is interesting.

By the way we finally have the server wide spam protection now installed on SVR04.

We still have one more server to install server wide spam software. If you are on SVR04 we have not yet have had the opportunity to get the software installed. We are planning on installing the software sometime this week.

Server-Wide Spam & Virus Protection has been installed you can click the link in your cPanel to enable or disable. Please notify us if you should have any issues. The system is designed to get most spam and virus sent through email.
